The Hudson Valley Community College women's tennis team competed at the second day of the NJCAA Women's Tennis Championship on Saturday afternoon in Chattanooga, TN.
The day was highlighted by Keely Legnard's semifinal win in the No. 1 singles flight to advance to the championship round where she will face top-seed Lily Liu from Oxford-Emory on Sunday. Legnard won her semifinal round in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3 against Camden County's Catelyn Kiefreider.
Sidney Phillips was also in action today in the No. 5 singles flight. Phillips dropped her semifinal match in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 to Oxford-Emory's Shank Theivanayagam.
Following the second day of action, the Vikings are currently fifth in the overall team standings with seven points.
