The Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer program dropped a tough Region 3 match 7-1 at SUNY Broome on Wednesday afternoon in Binghamton, NY.

SUNY Broome entered the match ranked No. 2 in the Region 3 standings with a 7-1 record. The Vikings fell behind early as the Hornets put four goals on the board in the first half. They later added three more goals in the second half to secure the win.

For the Vikings, Maggie Ryan continued her strong play this season. She scored her 14th goal of the season at the 62-minute mark in the game as she sent a shot just over the top of the goalie's reach and into the back of the net.

The women's soccer team returns home this Saturday, October 8 when they welcome the Region's top-ranked program, Mohawk Valley. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
