Bowling Team Earns Conference and Regional Honors

The bowling team had a stellar season, earning numerous accolades at both the conference and regional levels. With standout individual performances and impressive team achievements, the program continues to solidify its reputation for excellence.
At the regional level, several players made their mark with strong performances in singles, doubles, and all-events categories. Salvatore Iavarone placed third in singles with a total score of 779, while Jennifer Doty secured second place with 710. In doubles competition, Iavarone and Jeremy Shafer teamed up to place third with a combined score of 1595, while Doty and Laney Brown also earned a third-place finish with 1343. The all-events category saw even greater success, with Jeremy Shafer finishing third overall with 1600, followed closely by Tyler Drexel in fifth place with 1551. Jennifer Doty dominated the women's side, securing first place with 1413, while Abigail Desiato finished sixth with 1345.
The conference season brought further recognition, as multiple players earned All-Conference honors. Tyler Drexel led the way for the men's team, averaging 230.8 over 18 games, followed by Frank Ferrari with 227.1, Aidan McCarthy with 214.9, and Jeremy Shafer with 214.7 through 15 games, all earning spots on the All-Conference First Team. On the Second Team, Matthew DiGiulio posted a 203.2 average in 15 games, while Salvatore Iavarone recorded a 214.7 average over the same span.
For the women's team, Jennifer Doty headlined the All-Conference selections with a 203.2 average, joined by Laney Brown, who finished with a 176.7 average, Alyssa Gray with 164.7, and Abigail Desiato with 157.7. Doty's outstanding performance throughout the season earned her the title of Conference Player of the Year.
Adding to the program's success, Coach Christopher Claus was named Conference Coach of the Year for both the men's and women's teams, a testament to his leadership and the team's achievements.
With a season full of accomplishments at both the individual and team levels, the team now sets its sights on the NJCAA National Championships, which will take place from February 27 to March 1 at Airport Lanes in Buffalo, NY. Competition is set to begin at 2:15 p.m. as the team looks to cap off its remarkable season with a strong showing on the national stage.
