Women's Bowling Competes at Lehigh Valley (Day 1)

Women's bowling sits in 12th place after Day One of Allentown Tournament on 12/27/2019.

The men's and women's bowling programs started the 2019-2020 season today as they competed in the opening day of their respective tournaments in Allentown, PA.

The men's team jumped out to a hot start at the Roto Grip Keystone Quaker Classic and are currently sitting in 10th place after day one. As a team, the Vikings accumulated 4,557 total pins and trail the leader, William Paterson University by 639 pins.  

Leading the way for the men's program was Anthony Hurlburt (Hoosick Falls / Hoosick Falls), who totaled 947 pins in five games. Hurlburt started very well as he posted a team-best 221 in the first game of the day. Brennon Belding (Waterford / Shenendehowa) also posted a team-best 221 in the fourth game of the day. Belding saw action in three games and posted a score of 593, while reaching a 200-pin game twice. 

For the women's team, they participated in the Lehigh Valley Classic and are currently sitting in 12th place with a score of 2,989. 

Leading the way for the Vikings was Jordan Thomas (Lake Katrine / Kingston), who also posted a team-best score of 219 in the third game of the day. Thomas posted a series score of 579 to lead the way for the Vikings.

The Vikings are back in action tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 28 as they close out their respective tournaments before switching locations on Sunday.
