The Hudson Valley Community College men's and women's bowling teams captured the Columbia-Greene Tournament on Wednesday.
Hudson Valley's men topped six other teams, knocking down 3,380 pins in the first Mountain Valley Conference tournament of the season. Sophomore Steve Caverly (West Sand Lake/Averill Park High School) rolled a team-best 715 triple and a team-best 278 game. Sophomore Nick Harris (Latham/Shaker High School) had a 687 triple.
Hudson Valley's "A" team captured the women's tournament with 3,192 pins. The "B" team was third with 2,662 pins. Sophomore Kristen Koenig (Wynantskill/Catholic Central High School) paced the Lady Vikings with a 693 triple and a high-game 277.
