The Hudson Valley Community College women's bowling team finished second out of 10 schools at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) championship tournament in Lancaster. On the men's side, Hudson Valley finished fifth out of 12 competing teams.
The Hudson Valley women's team finished with a total pinfall of 11,983. The Lady Vikings finished 522 pins behind national champion Erie Community College. Hudson Valley sophomore Brenda Tilley (Melrose/Hoosic Valley High School) rolled a 579 triple to finish fourth in the singles event.
Sophomore John Costello (Troy/Catholic Central High School) led the Hudson Valley men's team. He finished fourth in the singles event with a 702 triple. The Vikings had a 13,323 total pinfall. Erie won the event with 14,326 pins.
