The Hudson Valley men's bowling team finished third out of nine teams at the Hawk Invitational in Utica. The women's team finished fourth out of eight schools at the event.
The Hudson Valley men combine to average 200.5 pins per game. Freshman Don Fovel (Guilderland/Guilderland High School) led the way for the Vikings, rolling a 207.4 average in eight games. He finished ninth out of 57 competitors. Sophomore Greg Jette (East Greenbush/Columbia High School) finished 11th with a 204.4 average.
The Lady Vikings combined to roll a 178.6 average. Freshman Erika Leonard (East Greenbush/Columbia High School) led Hudson Valley, finishing 10th out of 41 competitors with a 183.8 average.
Erie Community College won the men's event with a 211.7 overall average. The women's tournament was won by Briarcliffe College, which rolled a 194 average.
