Hudson Valley Community College's women's bowling team scored a victory at the Schenectady County Community College Invitation on Feb. 20. The Lady Vikings finished with a total of 3,307 pins, which, in addition to beating the female competition, topped every men's team at the invite.
The Lady Vikings' rollers averaged 220 per game, and Marie Boomhower (Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk H.S.) led the way with a 280 high game and a 734 three-game series.
Hudson Valley now sits atop the Mountain Valley Conference with a 5-0 record in league play.
Hudson Valley's men's team, meanwhile, finished tied for third with 3,025 pins. Schenectady placed first. Dan Ahl (Colonie H.S.) was Hudson Valley's top bowler, recording a 278 high game and a 720 series.
With a 9-6 record in Mountain Valley Conference action, the men are tied with Schenectady for second.
