The Hudson Valley men's soccer program had its five-game win streak snapped after they were defeated 6-0 by No. 2 ranked Herkimer Generals on Sunday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.

Herkimer got on the board quick as they intercepted a Vikings pass and connected for the goal on a cross pass, bordering an offside call and the Generals went up 1-0. Herkimer scored again in the first at the 12:50 mark as they were able to get behind the Vikings defenders and complete another cross pass for the goal. 

In the second, Herkimer went on to score three more goals to secure the win over the Vikings. 

The men's soccer team returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 28 when they welcome Fulton-Montgomery to the Outdoor Athletic Complex for a Mountain Valley Conference match. The game is set to begin at 4 p.m.
