Seebald, Wilson Takes All-Region Honors

Hudson Valley Community College men's and women's cross country programs received All-Region recognition following their performances at the NJCAA Region 3 championships on Saturday, Oct. 26th in Herkimer, NY.
Athena Seebald (Wynantskill / Columbia) and Emily Wilson (East Greenbush / Columbia) garnered the all-region honors as the duo finished inside the top-10 of the 5K race. Seebald placed third overall as she posted an official time of 22:44.8 with a 7:19.2 average mile time. Wilson finished ninth overall and crossed the finish line with a time of 25:20.2 and an average mile time of 8:09.3.
Drew Schroeder (Ghent / HSED) and Michael Kleinman (Northport / Northport) were also recognized for the men's program and their top-10 finish in the 8K championship race on Saturday. Schroeder has been running well over the past few weeks and placed second at regionals with a time of 28:40.8 with an average mile time of 5:46.1. Kleinman also continues to push the limits as he placed eighth overall with an official time of 30:19.5 and an average mile time of 6:06.0.
The men's and women's cross country programs are set to compete at the 2024 NJCAA national championships on Saturday, Nov. 9th in Richmond, Va.
