Cross Country Runs at Full Strength at Bard Invitational

The Hudson Valley Community College men's and women's cross country program was at full strength on Saturday as they competed at the Fred Pavlich Invitational, hosted by Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY.
The men's team finished eighth overall out of 11 total teams and accumulated 166 team points. The team had two runners finish inside the top 25 and were led by Drew Schroeder, who placed ninth overall with a time of 29:09.9 in the 8K race. Michael Kleinman continued to run well this season and placed 23rd overall with a time of 32:15.9.
Rounding out the team scoring were Nick Ricciardi, who placed 47th overall with a time of 36:06.3, Robert Wiltsie, who finished 55th overall with a time of 37:20.1 and Ryan Keane, who was running in his first collegiate race, placed 73rd overall with an official time of 42:28.4. Jason Jebaraj also ran in the race and placed 86th overall with a time of 54:58.8.
In the women's 6K race, the Vikings were led by Athena Seebald, who placed 21st overall, posted an official time of 27:53.0. Rebecca Martin placed 45th overall with a time of 30:28.8 and Emily Wilson completed a 32:58.3 pace for 60th place overall.
Rounding out the team scoring were a pair of first-time runners for the Vikings, Sanaiya Adams and Brooklyn Callaghan. Adams finished 86th overall with a time of 36:45.5 and Callaghan finished 105th at a 47:22.3 pace.
The program is off next week and will return to action on Saturday, October 12th as they compete in the James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State in Westfield, Mass.
