Cross Country Competes in Bard Invitational

Men's Individual Results | Men's Team Results | Women's Individual Results

 
The Hudson Valley Community College men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Bard College to participate in the Bard Invitational on Saturday morning.

The men's program finished 10th out of 21 teams with Ryan Moon (Colonie/Colonie) pacing the Vikings with a 32nd place finish with a time of 29:22 in the 8K race. Holden Maynard (Rotterdam/Mohonasen) placed 42nd with a time of 29:59 and Subri Ismail (Albany/Albany) finished a couple spots behind Maynard, finishing 44th with a time of 30:12. Anton Conto (Glenville/Niskayuna) and Jeremy Marcy (Menands/Shaker) rounded out the scoring for the Vikings with Conto and Marcy crossing the finish line together with a final time of 30:17.

Parker Swierzewski (Valatie/LaSalle) finished the race with a time of 36:57, Eben Neuman finished with a time of 38:56 and Nathan Savasta (Coxsackie/Coxsackie-Athens) finished with a time of 44:21.

The women's program had four runners participated as individuals in the Bard Invitational 5K race Saturday morning. Sarah Rosenberger (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) was the top Vikings finisher at 34th place with a time of 20:57. Mercedes Planavsky finished 49th with a time of 21:52 and Hayley Smith (East Greenbush/Bethlehem) finished the race in an even 26:00. Julia Marino (East Greenbush/Columbia) rounds out the women's participants as she finished with an official time of 27:32.

The cross country teams are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 30 when they travel to Herkimer for the Herkimer College Invitational with a 10 a.m. scheduled start.
