Women's Cross Country Competes at Mustang Invitational

Individual Results

The men's and women's cross country teams participated in the SUNY Morrisville Mustang Invitational on Saturday morning. 

The men's team combined for a fifth place finish out of 12 total teams in the 8K race as three Vikings finishing inside the top-30. Subri Ismail paced the Vikings with a time of 30:56 for 21st place. Ryan Moon (31:04) and Holden Maynard (31:19) followed suit, finishing 24th and 26th, respectively.

The remaining Vikings runners, Anoton Conto finished 41st with a time of 32:24, Jeremy Marcy finished 73rd with a time of 35:01 and Parker Swierzewski placed 81st with a time of 36:13.

The Vikings women's team had four student-athletes compete in the meet with Sarah Rosenberger earning the best finish for Hudson Valley for the second straight week. Rosenberger finished the 6K race in 27:58 for 22nd place.

The remaining Vikings runners, Mercedes Planavsky finished 33rd with a time of 29:33, Hayley Smith finished 65th with a time of 33:20 and Julia Marino finished 87th with a time of 36:29.

The cross country programs are back in action in two weeks when they travel to Bard College for the Bard Raptors Invitational on Sept. 23 at 11 a.m.
