The Hudson Valley Community College cross country team finished 13th out of 14 teams at the Bard Invitational on Saturday, but where the Lady Vikings finished may not be as important as the fact that Hudson Valley posted a team score.
In what has been a rebuilding year for first-year head coach Mike Naylor, Hudson Valley had enough runners (5) to post a team score for the college since 2000.
Sophomore Katie Wolfe (Colonie/Colonie High School) finished 15th out of 101 runners to lead Hudson Valley. She covered the 6,000-meter course in 27:51.03. Elizabeth Zeyher (Pine Plains/Pine Plains High School) finished 72nd in 34:21.34 and Alison Blaszkow (Whitesboro/Whitesboro High School) came in 73rd in 34:26.44.
