Katie Wolfe (Colonie/Colonie High School), who will enter her sophomore year at Hudson Valley Community College this August, will be competing in the 2006 USATF Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships this Saturday, July 29. The championships are being held on the campus of Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Wolfe qualified to compete in the Young Women's 3,000 meter competition by finishing second in the regional competition in Kingston on July 9. Wolfe competes for the Country Mills Eagles Running Club based in Clifton Park.
Wolfe earned NJCAA All-American recognition last fall after finishing 15th in the NJCAA Division III Cross Country Championship.
