The Hudson Valley volleyball team defeated SUNY Orange in 5 sets on Thursday.
The Vikings got of to a shaky start going down in the first set 17-25 but bounced back in the second to win 25-19. The Vikings fought hard in the third set but lost 26-24 and rallied back in the fourth and fifth sets defeating the Colts. Abbigail Newell led the team in attacks with 23 while also recording 14 digs and 2 solo blocks. The Vikings rallied behind Newell adding 24 kills to Newell's 23 and 34 digs to the 14 recorded by Newell. Gabriella Kholstinin had 39 assists to lead the Vikings to another win.
The Viking's next game is Saturday, October 10th at SUNY Adirondack where they will face Mohawk Valley at 11am and Herkimer College at 1pm.
