Volleyball Defeated by SUNY Adirondack

The Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball program dropped a tough Mountain Valley Conference match, 3-1, on the road against SUNY Adirondack on Tuesday evening in Queensbury, NY.

After they dropped the first set, the Vikings rebounded to win the second set, 25-18, putting together a quality set to extend the match. As a team, the Vikings accumulated 24 kills, 81 digs and nine service aces.

The offense was paced by 18 assists from Regina Ware-Salazar and Abbigail Newell's team-high six kills. Defensively, Hudson Valley had a busy night, defending the Adirondack attack as they had five individuals finish with double-digit digs. Adriana Diaz Rolon finished with 20 digs and Newell added 18 digs.

Up next for the women's volleyball team is a home match against SUNY Orange on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex.
