Volleyball Defeated on the Road at Herkimer

The Hudson Valley women's volleyball program dropped a tough match 3-1 as they traveled to take on conference rival Herkimer on Wednesday afternoon in Herkimer, NY. 

As a team, the Vikings combined for 32 kills, 24 assists, six services aces, and seven blocks. Jackie McCormick hit the ball well as she finished with seven kills with a .217 hitting percentage. McCormick also finished the match with a team high six solo blocks.

SophomoreMadison DeMarco joined McCormick on the offensive attack as she finished with a team-best 11 kills with a quality .308 hitting percentage. 

Leureah Cummings handled the setting duties for the match and finished with 24 total assists in the four-set match. 

The volleyball program is back in action this weekend as they travel for the Broome pod. The Vikings are scheduled to play Corning, Broome and Tompkins Cortland.
