Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball (2-11) dropped their road match to Mohawk Valley in straight sets 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-17) on Wednesday evening.
In the three sets, the Vikings combined for 21 kills, 15 assists and 45 digs. Jessica Getty (Hartford/Hartford) led the Vikings with six kills on 13 attempts and added three solo blocks.
Shayla Pfendler (Ava/Adirondack) helped steady the offense with her eight assists while Kirstin Wood (Colonie/Colonie) and Laura Grippin (Berne/Berne-Knox-Westerlo) combined for 28 of the teams 45 digs. Wood finished with 15 digs and added five kills in the three-set match. Grippin collected 13 digs and added two kills and a service ace.
The Vikings volleyball team is back in action this on Friday, September 28 as they welcome North Country to the McDonough Sports Complex at 6 p.m.
