The Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball team (7-11) dropped a road match at Fulton-Montgomery in straight sets 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-17) on Wednesday evening.

The Vikings combined for 17 kills, 10 assists, four service aces, four blocks and 49 digs. Megan Woods (Averill Park/Averill Park) led the Vikings with 18 digs. Alayna Fredenburg (Rotterdam/Schalmont) added eight digs and five kills on 32 attempts.

Danielle Pardo (Averill Park/Averill Park) accumulated 10 assists, six kills and a pair of digs in three sets and Olivia Fischer (Averill Park/Averill Park) contributed with eight digs on the defensive side of the net.

The Vikings will have an opportunity for a rematch with Fulton-Montgomery this weekend as they participate in the North Country POD at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y. The Vikings are scheduled to face Herkimer, Mohawk Valley and Fulton-Montgomery in the pod tournament.
