Hudson Valley's women's outdoor track and field student-athlete Mercedes Planavsky (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa) has been named the NJCAA Region 3 Female Athlete of the Week as announced by Region 3.

En route to a first-place finish in the 1500 meters this weekend Planavsky broke the school record that she set two weeks prior with a time of 5:10.00.  Mercedes's moved her to the third fastest time in the 1500m in the NJCAA the season.

Hudson Valley is back in action this weekend for the NJCAA Region 3 Championships at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.
