Women's Tennis Defeated by Broome

The Hudson Valley Community College women's tennis team dropped its regional match at home against Broome 8-1 on Thursday afternoon in Troy, NY.
The Vikings Jacqueline Bornt (Wynantskill/Averill Park) earned the Vikings lone point by winning her match in straight sets as the team's No.1 seed. She defeated Shyanne Daye 6-0, 6-1 to remain unbeaten in Singles action.
Broome combined to win the remaining singles matches in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 and swept the Vikings in doubles play with the top-doubles team winning their match over Bornt and Miranda Morrison 8-3. Broome also defeated the Vikings No.2 Doubles team 8-0 to secure the overall match win.
The women's tennis team is back home on Saturday, September 29 and is scheduled to play Onondaga at noon.
