The Hudson Valley women's soccer team lost to Herkimer 5-3 in a well fought battle on senior day.
The Vikings went down 2-0 in the first half but fought back in the second half to bring the game within 2. Starting off the scoring for the Vikings was captain Lauren Foglia with a long ball over the goalie's head from above the goalie box. Foglia had 6 shots total and 4 on goal. Her second goal of the day was another shot out of reach of the General's goalie. Abbigayle Yetto tallied the third goal for the Vikings in the 81st minute off an assist from Foglia. The Vikings totaled 12 shots and keeper Meaghan Casabonne had 9 saves on 14 shots on goal.
