The Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer team earned a quality shutout win over North Country on Wednesday evening at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of HVCC.

It didn't take long for Hudson Valley to strike gold as Lauren Foglia found the back of the net for an unassisted goal at the 13:48 mark in the opening half of the game. The momentum shifted to the Vikings and then Abigayle Yetto scored the much-needed insurance goal, which kept the game out of reach of a Saints comeback.

The Vikings defense buckled down in the second half and goalkeeper Josephine O'Hare recorded 13 saves to preserve the shutout victory, her seconds clean sheet of the season.

Hudson Valley continues to make strides this season and they are set for a major test this weekend as they travel to take on Herkimer on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 3:30 p.m. in Herkimer, NY.
