Women's Soccer Ends in Tie at Paul Smith's

The Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer team earned a hard-fought 2-2 tie as they traveled to compete against Paul Smith's College on Sunday afternoon in Paul Smith's, NY. 

The two programs traded goals all game, which began with Paul Smith's scored first at the 28-minute mark on penalty kick. In fact, both Paul Smith's goals were scored as a result of penalty kicks. They converted on a PK at the 60-minute mark to pull ahead of Hudson Valley 2-1. 

The Vikings tied the game up at 1-1 to go into the halftime break even with Paul Smith's. At the 36-minute mark, Marilyn Decker scored on an assisted pass by Melissa Cole. Cole would later connect for the Vikings second goal of the game at the 84-minute mark, which ultimately became the game saving goal, as they ended the game in a 2-2 tie. 

The women's program returns home for Senior Day this Wednesday, October 19 when they welcome Onondaga. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m. and will be followed by the men's game around 4 p.m.
