The Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer team earned a critical Region 3 road win 3-1 against SUNY Adirondack on Wednesday afternoon at the Golden Goal Sports Complex in Fort Ann, NY.

Hudson Valley improves to 4-6 record against Region 3 opponents, which lands them in eighth place with just under one week remaining in the regular season.

Ashley Graff put the Vikings on the board first at the 25-minute mark in the opening half as she collected a pass from Melissa Cole and sent it to the back of the net for her first goal of the season.

Hudson Valley's leading scorer, Maggie Ryan, scored her 16th goal of the season at the 46-minute mark. She sent a crossing shot to the top corner of the net for the score to put Hudson Valley up 2-0. Adirondack cut into the deficit a few minutes into the second half at the game's 48-minute mark, but the Vikings defense kept the Timberwolves at bay and eventually added an insurance goal to secure the 3-1 victory, which came at the 84-minute mark when Cole scored her second goal of the season.

The Vikings women's soccer team returns to the pitch this Sunday, October 16 when they travel to take on Paul Smith's College at 1 p.m. in Paul Smiths, NY.
