Women's Soccer Shutout on Road
The Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer team lost a tough matchup 3-0 on the road to North Country on Sunday afternoon in Saranac Lake, NY.
The Vikings finished the game with nine total shots, with Mikayla Bechtel leading the way with four shots, including two shots on goal. Alison Waldron, Marilyn Decker and Grace Mathes also tallied a shot on goal.
North Country scored its first goal on a successful penalty kick at the 31 -minute mark in the first half. They later scored a few minutes later to take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break. The Saints added one more at the 77-minute mark to secure the 3-0 win over Hudson Valley.
The women's program aims to get back on track as they return home to take on Onondaga this Friday, October 8 at 4 p.m. at the Outdoor Athletic complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.
