The Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at home against Corning Community College on Saturday afternoon.

The Vikings were shutout for the first time this season as the offense was shutdown by the Red Barons' swarming defense. Corning's first goal came at the 38:55 mark in the first half, scored by Taylor Sutryk. Corning scored again early in the second half at the 43:49 mark as Victoria Finn found the upper left corner for the goal.

Freshman goalkeeper Kaitlin Nadeau (Latham/Shaker) recorded eight saves for the Vikings. Hudson Valley's offense tallied nine shots with four on goal.

The Vikings are on the road next Wednesday, Sept. 20 when they travel to face Mohawk-Valley with a 2 p.m. scheduled start.
