Brendan is in his third at Hudson Valley and the first season as co-head coach of the men’s and women’s golf program.

Coach Kelly was elevated to co-head coach prior to the start of the 2023-24 season. He joined Coach McCormick in  bringing the the men’s golf program to new heights in 2023-24 as they claimed the Mountain Valley Conference Championship for the second consecutive season. The program earned an automatic berth to the NJCAA National Tournament after they erased a 17-stroke deficit to claim runner up at the NJCAA Region 3 Championships, a historic feat. The program qualified as a team for the national tournament for the first time since the golf program returned to HVCC in 2018.

In 2022-23, Coach Kelly played an integral role supporting Coach McCormick and the student-athletes as the program won its first Mountain Valley Conference championship since 1985.

Prior to joining HVCC, Kelly coached over two years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Twin Town Devil Cats twilight league team. Brendan played collegiate baseball for four years as a starting pitcher at Massachusetts College or Liberal Arts, where he obtained a degree in Sport management and minor in coaching.

He played on the Averill Park High School varsity golf team for two seasons and ended his senior season as the top-ranked golfer. Kelly works as a Senior Events and Moves worker  at Siena College. Brendan plays most of his golf at Burden Lake Country Club and resides here in Troy, NY.
