Coach Keith Danzy was hired as the Vikings women's basketball head coach on July 15, 2020. 

Coach Danzy guided the program to a 13-10 record last season, his best record since joining the program in 2020, and earned a Region III playoff berth for the third straight season (No. 6 seed). As a team, the program averaged 67.3 points per game, 38.6 rebounds and 15.9 assists per game (best assist average in three seasons). Under Coach Danzy’s leadership, freshman Leah Pergola earned Third Team NJCAA All-American honors while averaging 21.8 points per game.

In 2022-23, the basketball program finished with a 10-10 record and advanced to the NJCAA Region III postseason, where they were defeated on the road by Onondaga. As a team, they averaged 69.6 points per game, 44 rebounds and 12.8 assists per game. Freshman standout, Payton Graber garnered First Team NJCAA All-American honors and was named the NJCAA Region III and Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year.

In 2021-22, Coach Danzy led the Vikings to a 12-11 record and qualified for a home playoff game, where they defeated SUNY Adirondack, 57-40, before falling to Onondaga in the Region III quarterfinal round. As a team, they averaged 60.5 points per game, 36.3 rebounds and 11.8 assists per game.

Prior to Hudson Valley, Danzy served for 20 years as the Director of Girls Basketball with the Albany City Rocks program. Coach Danzy was responsible for day-to-day operations, supervising all volunteers and coaches from Utica, Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo.

A Hudson Valley alumnus, Danzy has a proven record of success in recruiting and developing some of the best girls basketball talent among the Capital Region and across New York State as part of the Nike EYBL program, including Saratoga Springs graduates Dolly Cairns (Rhode Island) and Kerry Flaherty (Holy Cross), Niskayuna’s Olivia Owens (Kentucky), Schenectady’s Sheila Dixon (Brown), Maple Hill’s Katie Roth (Hartford), Albany’s Lakeytah Irving (Coppin State) and Kingston’s Rachel Coffey (Syracuse). Coach Danzy has helped City Rocks student-athletes secure more than 15 million dollars in athletic scholarships. 
  
During his 20 years with the City Rocks, Danzy helped the AAU program expand its reach throughout the nation, which included increased fundraising, endowment management, budgeting, attracting national sponsorship opportunities and organized major tournaments that hosted multiple programs representing 10 different states. 
  
Following his All-American playing career at Hudson Valley, Danzy went on to continue his education and athletics career at Gannon University (Division II), where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 1995.
