The Hudson Valley women's basketball team went undefeated at home this weekend as they faced Cayuga and Finger Lakes on Saturday and Sunday.
GAME ONE: HUDSON VALLEY VS. CAYUGA (66-36)
The Vikings led the scoring in every quarter against the Spartans. Myanna Faraj led the scoring with 15 points. Faraj also had 9 steals, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the Vikings. Close behind were teammates Abigayle Yetto and Sanaiya Adams each with 13 points and 3 rebounds. Yetto added 4 assists and a steal while Adams added 3 steals and an assist against the Spartans. Leah Pergola had 11 points, 5 steals, 4 rebounds and 2 assists on Saturday. The Vikings earned a team win beating Cayuga by 30 .
GAME TWO: HUDSON VALLEY VS. FINGER LAKES (72-38)
The Vikings faced a quick turnaround weekend playing two games in two days. The Vikings brought the energy for day two against Finger Lakes. Lila Christensen led the Vikings in scoring off the bench with 18 points. Christensen also added 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Gracemary Baumann had a double-double, scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds which earned her the HVCC Player of the Game. Myanna Faraj added 13 points and 8 rebounds while Abigayle Yetto had 9 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds against the Lakers.
Looking ahead the Vikings face SUNY Broome on the road, Sunday, December 15th at 1pm for their last game before the holiday break.
