Women's Basketball Handles T'Wolves in 87-33 Win

Hudson Valley Community College's women's basketball team jumped out early on the visiting SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves as the Vikings won 87-33 at the McDonough Sports Complex at HVCC on Sunday afternoon.

Payton Graber (Schenectady/Schalmont) continued her hot shooting as she finished with a game-high 32 points and added 13 rebounds, four assists, four steals in 23 minutes of play. She finished the game shooting 13-of-19 from the floor, including 4-of-7 from behind the three-point arc.

Alyssa Bruno (Troy/Troy) had a career game for the Vikings as she finished with a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds and added four blocks. Tylah Langley (Queens/Benjamin Banneker) has been a great addition for the Vikings this semester as she finished with 12 points and collected six rebounds, seven steals and dished out eight assists. Leemya Garcia (Watervliet/Watervliet) shot the ball well off the bench for the Vikings as she finished with eight points on 3-of-7 shooting, including 2-of-4 from behind the arc.

The women's program improved to 6-6 on the season and are back on the court this Tuesday, January 24 when they host North Country at the McDonough Sports Complex on the campus of HVCC. The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. and will be live streamed at hvccathletics.com/watch.
