Graber named Region 3 Player of the Week Following Record Scoring Week

Hudson Valley Community College's women's basketball freshman Payton Graber was named the NJCAA Region 3 Women's Basketball Player of the Week following a 2-1 record last week, which featured Graber averaging 30 points per game, including a career-record 41 points against Massasoit last week.

In additional to leading the team in scoring, she also averaged 7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 5 steals a game in the three contests. Graber currently leads the nation in scoring with 27.9 points per game and the Vikings have improved to 5-5 on the season and 4-3 in Region 3 after key road wins at Region 3 foes Broome and Tompkins Cortland over the weekend.

The women's basketball team is back in action on Saturday, January 21 when they travel to take on Herkimer College in Herkimer at 1 p.m. The next home game is Sunday, January 22 when they host Adirondack at the McDonough Sports Complex at 2 p.m. on the campus of HVCC.
