Women's Basketball Wins vs. TC3

The Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball team improved to 5-5 on the season after defeating Tompkins Cortland 59-44 in Dryden, NY on Sunday afternoon.

Hudson Valley completed a 2-0 weekend against Region 3 opponents and were led by Payton Graber, who finished the game with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Nya Ewans-Edmonds scored in double-figures as well as she added 12 points on 4-of-15 shooting in 37 minutes of action. Josephine O'Hare has her best game of the season as she scored 10 points off the bench and added seven rebounds in 31 minutes on the court.

Hudson Valley utilized two strong quarters as they jumped out early on the Panthers in the first quarter, limiting them to just three points and finished the opening quarter leading 16-3. Hudson Valley also used a strong fourth quarter to put the game away, outscoring the Panthers 21-5 to secure their fifth win of the season and second straight this weekend.

The women's basketball program returns to the court on Wednesday, January 18 when they host Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex at HVCC. The game will be streamed live at hvccathletics.com/watch.
