The Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball dropped a tough road game 85-72, despite a monster 41-point game from Vikings freshman Payton Graber (Schenectady/Schalmont), at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, Mass. on Tuesday evening.

Graber's career night was highlighted by six three-point field goals and a perfect 9-of-9 from the free throw line as she paced the Vikings throughout the game, but ultimately the Warriors put together a 28-point third quarter and a 21-point fourth quarter to pull away from the Vikings after Massasoit held on to a narrow 38-34 advantage at the halftime break.

Hudson Valley's Tylah Langley (Queens / Benjamin Banneker Academy) had a nice scoring game as well as she finished the game with a season-high 16 points on five field goals made, including a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Nya Ewans-Edmonds (Albany / Albany) added eight points and Sidney Phillips (Troy / Tamarac) finished with four points and Trinity Cutler-Mujjumbire (Cohoes / Stillwater) tallied three points.

The women's basketball team returns to Region 3 action this weekend as they travel to take on SUNY Broome on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Binghamton and Tompkins Cortland on Sunday in Dryden at 3 p.m.
