The Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball had a slow second quarter, which led to their road defeat 69-57 at North Country in Saranac Lake, NY on Saturday.

The Vikings and Saints traded baskets for the majority of the game, however the Saints held the Vikings to just seven points in the second quarter to pull away with a 34-25 advantage at the halftime break.

The second half was even, with North Country narrowly outscoring the Vikings 34-32, keeping the game out of reach for a potential Hudson Valley comeback.

The Vikings were led by Payton Graber, who finished with eight field goals, including three from behind the three-point arc for a game-high 22 points. Sidney Phillips was the only other Vikings player to finish with double-digit scoring. Phillips scored 10 points with four field goals and 2-of-4 from the free throw line.

Hudson Valley are scheduled to return to the court on Tuesday, November 29 when they travel to take on SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury, NY. The game is set to begin at 5 p.m., kicking off a double-header event with the men's programs.
