The Hudson Valley women's basketball was defeated by No. 5 ranked North Country 85-55 on Monday evening in Saranac Lake, NY. 

North Country pulled away early from the Vikings with a 25-16 after the first quarter. A slow second quarter helped the Vikings stay within striking distance with a strong second half as they trailed the Saints 34-23 at the break. 

In the second half, the Saints pulled away behind a 20-point second half performance by North Country's Talesa Campbell. Kayla Carder finished with a game-high 27 points. 

Leading the way for the Vikings were Alexandra Rifenburg with 15 points, Emily Erickson added 14 points and Grace VanRoy tallied 12 points. 

The Vikings are home on Wednesday, February 19 for the regular season finale as they welcome Fulton-Montgomery to the McDonough Sports Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
