The Hudson Valley women's basketball team (19-4) had their 13-game win streak snapped as No. 6 North Country defeated the Vikings 92-80 on Saturday afternoon in Saranac Lake, NY.

Caitlin Estes (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville) connected on 11 field goals for a team-high 24 points, including a pair of baskets from behind the three-point arc. Hannah Kreiger (Brunswick/Tamarac) tallied 17 points with six field goals and two three-point baskets. Kreiger scored eight of the Vikings 10 points in the second quarter. North Country entered halftime with a 46-38 advantage over Hudson Valley.

Madison Graber (Schenectady/Schalmont) and Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central) each scored 12 points. Engster scored seven of her 12 points in the final quarter.  

Hudson Valley is off until Monday, February 18 when they welcome North Country to Troy, NY for Senior Night. The game is scheduled to begin after the men's game around 7 p.m.
