Hudson Valley's women's basketball student-athlete Madison Graber (Schenectady/Schalmont) has been named the NJCAA Region 3 Women's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by Region 3.

Graber led the Vikings to a perfect 3-0 record and their 11th straight win this week averaging 17.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last week. Graber's defense helped secure Hudson Valley's 82-81 win over Herkimer as she blocked a key shot that would have given the Generals a late game lead with 30 seconds remaining. The next day she has scored 23 points and shot 62.5 percent from the floor in the Vikings win over Broome. Graber has now scored at least 11 points in each of the last 10 games.
