The Hudson Valley women's basketball team (17-3) bounced back after a close call Saturday with a convincing 91-42 win over Broome to extend their win streak to 11 straight on Sunday afternoon in the McDonough Sports Complex in Troy, NY. 

The Vikings put the game away early as they started the game on a 30-4 run in the first quarter and they extended their lead with a 23-9 run in the second quarter, giving Hudson Valley a comfortable 53-13 at halftime. 

As a team, Hudson Valley shot 46.8 percent from the floor on 36-for-77 shooting, including 10-for-24 from behind the arc. Madison Graber (Schenectady/Schalmont) led scorers with 23 points and added eight rebounds and three steals. Graber has now scored double digits in each of their last 10 games. 

Hannah Kreiger (Brunswick/Tamarac) connected on four three-point field goals and finished with 16 points and seven rebounds. Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central) and Caitlin Estes (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville) combined to score 29 points and shot over 50 percent from the floor. Engster tallied 14 points, four rebounds and four assists, while Estes finished with 15 points, four rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes of play. 

Melpomeni Doutsis (Albany/Albany) came off the bench and finished with nine points and four rebounds in 14 minutes of action. 

Hudson Valley is back in action this Thursday, January 31 when they travel to play Sullivan at 5 p.m. in Loch Sheldrake, NY.
