Hudson Valley's women's basketball student-athlete Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central) has been named the NJCAA Women's Basketball National Player of the Week as announced by the governing body. 

Engster filled the stat sheet for the Vikings and guided Hudson Valley to a 2-0 record last week. Engster averaged 23.5 PPG, 8.5 rebounds, five assists and six steals. Hudson Valley (14-3) has now won eight straight games and are receiving votes in the weekly national poll. 

The women's program is returns to the court this weekend when they welcome Fulton-Montgomery to the McDonough Sports Complex in Troy, NY on Saturday. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
