Estes Scores 26, Women's Basketball Wins Seven Straight

The Hudson Valley women's basketball team (13-3) extended their streak to seven straight wins following their 107-35 win at Clinton on Thursday afternoon.
The No. 10 ranked Vikings finished the game with five individuals scoring in double-digits as they continued to put up big offensive numbers. Caitlin Estes (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville) and Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central) each surpassed the 20-point plateau with Estes leading the charge with a game-high 26 points. Engster finished the game with 21 points and she has now reached double-digit scoring in 12 of the last 13 games for Hudson Valley.
Malainah Elliott (Utica/Thomas R. Proctor) finished with a career-high 18 points with eight made field goals and Hannah Kreiger (Brunswick/Tamarac) and Madison Graber (Schenectady/Schalmont) combined for 32 points as they each scored 16 points.
The women's program returns home this Saturday, January 12 as they welcome Monroe College-Bronx to the McDonough Sports Complex at 2 p.m.
