Hudson Valley's women's basketball student-athlete Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central) has been named the NJCAA Region 3 Women's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by Region 3.

Engster had her entire skill set on display in the Vikings 80-34 victory over Ulster last Tuesday evening. She posted a double-double scoring 15 points, on 6-for-10 shooting from the floor and added 10 rebounds.  Taylor filled the stat sheet as she also finished with 5 assists and 7 steals.

The Vikings women's program is off to a great start (4-1) and are back in action tonight when they welcome Orange to McDonough Sports Complex at 5 p.m.
