Hudson Valley's women's basketball team (3-1) dropped their first game of the season as Jefferson connected on the game-winning free throw with 1.1 seconds remaining in the game to defeat the Vikings 76-75 in Watertown, NY on Sunday afternoon. 

Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central) led the Vikings 23 points and helped keep Hudson Valley in the game as she also led the team with nine points in the fourth quarter. Engster finished the game with eight field goals made, including a pair of three-pointers. 

Hannah Kreiger (Brunswick/Tamarac) bounced back from a scoreless game yesterday to score 17 points for the Vikings, which included four made field goals from behind the arc. Madison Graber (Schenectady/Schalmont) reached double-digits for the second straight game as she finished with 16 points with seven field goals made. 

Hudson Valley's game against Adirondack this Wednesday was cancelled and will return to action on Sunday, November 18 when they travel to play Schenectady at 1 p.m.
