Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball (2-0) utilized the three-point shot to defeat Cayuga 85-44 on Saturday afternoon. The Vikings connected for 10 three-point baskets, with Hannah Kreiger (Brunswick/Tamarac) leading the way with 26 points and five three-point field goals. 

Madison Graber (Schenectady/Schalmont) had a breakout game as she found the momentum in the third quarter, scoring six of her 16 points in the quarter. She helped extend the Vikings lead over Cayuga to 61-26 at the end of the third quarter. Kreiger took over in the fourth and led the Vikings with six points and closed out the Spartans for the team's second straight win. 

Hayley Jones (Catskill/Catskill) knocked down a pair of three-pointers for the second straight game and finished with 14 points. 

The women's basketball team is back in action this weekend as they travel to play Herkimer on Saturday at 1 p.m.
