Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball (9-7) was defeated by No.2 Mohawk Valley Community College 96-55 on Thursday night at McDonough Sports Complex.
The Vikings were led by Hannah Kreiger (Brunswick/Tamarac) as she scored a team-high 21 points on 6-for-15 shooting, including 5-for-11 from behind the arc. Kreiger, the Vikings leading scorer, has now scored 20 or more points in six games this season and has reached double-digit scoring in eight straight games.
Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central) also scored in double-digits for Hudson Valley as she finished the game with 10 points. Engster has now scored 10 or more points in five consecutive games for the Vikings.
Hayley Jones (Catskill/Catskill) added seven points and four rebounds in 22 minutes of game action.
The Vikings will now hit the road this weekend as they travel to face Fulton-Montgomery this Saturday, Jan. 20 at 1 p.m.
