Women's Basketball Falls on the Road at Onondaga

Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball (7-3) fell 77-57 on the road at Onondaga Community College on Wednesday evening.

Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central), this week's NJCAA Region III Player of the Week, scored 13 points for the Vikings with five made field goals and three free throws. Hannah Kreiger (Brunswick/Tamarac), the Vikings leading scorer, also scored a team-high 13 points, including a pair of three-point field goals.

Cameran Henderson (Green Island/Heatly) scored the majority of her points in the fourth quarter of play as she finished with 11 points. Henderson has now surpassed double-digit scoring for the second straight game.

Onondaga was led by their two forwards, Sydni Eure and Sam Britton. The duo combined for 41 points with Eure scoring 21 and Britton adding 20 points in the Lazers' win over Hudson Valley.

The Vikings are on the road this Sunday, Dec. 10 as they travel to Tompkins-Cortland for a 1 p.m. start.
