GAME ONE: HVCC 8 - ERIE 0
The Vikings defeated SUNY Erie 8-0 on Sunday in Buffalo, NY thanks in part to six runs in the fourth inning. Izabelle Ratcliffe scored one run, Grace Harris singled, scoring one run, Reegan Mullen singled, scoring two runs, Lily Brennan singled, scoring one run, and Kayden Craft hit into a double play, but one run scored.
Moira Collins led things off in the circle for the Vikings. The starter surrendered four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking none.
Harris and Angelise Montanez each collected two hits for the Vikings. Harris and Mullen were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for the Vikings. The Vikings didn't commit a single error in the field. Samantha Graham had the most chances in the field with eight.
GAME TWO: HVCC 8 - ERIE 1
The Vikings defeated Erie 8-1 in their second game of the day scoring seven runs in the fourth inning. Grace Harris singled, scoring one run, Reegan Mullen doubled, scoring one run, Lily Brennan singled, scoring two runs, Brianna Shutter singled, scoring one run, and Samantha Graham singled, scoring two runs.
Mullen led things off in the circle for the Vikings. The hurler gave up four hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out three and walking two.
Graham drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Vikings with two runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-4 on the day. Graham and Brennan each collected two hits for the Vikings.
The Vikings play again on Tuesday, April 15th at Onondaga with games at 3 and 5pm.
