Despite a quick run in the first, Hudson Valley pulled away for good with a big six run inning in the second inning.

GAME TWO: Hudson Valley 11, Genesee 3 (6 innings)

In the final game of the day, the Vikings utilized back-to-back four run innings in the fifth and sixth inning to close out the Cougars and complete the sweep.

On the mound, Miranda Peck earned the win after pitching five complete innings, giving up one run on four hits and struck out eight batters. In relief, Peckowitz reached the 100-strikeout plateau on the year after she struck out two batters in her only inning in the circle.
