The Hudson Valley Community College softball program had a historic day, which featured a perfect game in game one and a combined no-hitter in game two, as they completed the series sweep today over Tompkins Cortland, extending their streak to eight straight wins.
GAME ONE: Hudson Valley 17, Tompkins Cortland 0 (5 innings)
Vikings pitcher, Carly Gemmett, accomplished a feat that everyone dreams about when they become a pitcher in the opening game of the series with the Panthers. Gemmett tossed a perfect game, throwing five complete innings and struck out 12 batters in her historic outing.

Following the perfect start in game one, the Vikings pitching staff continued to roll as they tossed a combined no-hitter to complete the series sweep. Miranda Peck, Shealynn Peckowitz and Gianna Bucciero teamed up to complete the five innings and did not allow a hit in five innings pitched and allowed only one walk in the fifth.
